Cost Requirements

Applicants seeking Cypriot citizenship must meet one of the following criteria;

1 An investment of EUR 2.5 million into Residential Real Estate.
2. A combination investment of EUR 3 million into Residential & Commercial Real Estate.
3. A direct investment of EUR 5 million into Cyprus combining the purchase of property and shares held for 3 years.
4. An investment of a personal deposit for a minimum of EUR 5 million, held for 3 years, in a Cypriot bank or in privately owned companies.
5. An investment of EUR 2 million into the Treasury and an additional EUR 500,000 donated to a Research and development Fund.

Timeline & Procedure

  • Week 1:

    Applicant reserves a property in Cyprus paying a €10,000 refundable deposit into developer escrow account.

  • Week 2:

    All documents pertaining to citizenship application and real estate purchase are submitted to the Government of Cyprus. Applicants must pay balance of property purchase price into developer escrow account. Government application fees must be paid.

  • Month 3:

    Citizenship Approval received, applicants must travel to Cyprus to undertake Oath of Allegiance and obtain Citizenship Certificates and passports. Property purchase funds are released from escrow to developer. Government fees of minimum €10,000 will be applicable depending on the size of the application. Applicant’s dependent children may now apply for Cyprus citizenship.

  • Month 6:

    Children must visit Cyprus to obtain Citizenship Certificates and passports. Alternatively they can be collected from a Cypriot Embassy overseas, however, this may take longer.
